Perfect for textile lovers, and the Curious Cognoscenti, this fabulous piece of wearable art is one of the most curiously cool pieces we have come across. Probably dating from the late 1960s or early ‘70s, and reminiscent of the work of American fiber artists, or their British contemporaries (like Bill Gibb), this knitted cape is a veritable rainbow of mohair and bouclé wool.
This garment is in very good vintage condition. The designer is unknown, but the piece has a Harrods label and says that it is Made in England. The item is one size (and would fit a UK size 10 to 18). It is 47 inches/120cm long (52 inches/132 cm including the collar). The composition is 50% mohair (a little itchy if worn directly next to the skin) and 50% wool. Dry clean only.
