This curiously charming, body-hugging, square necked brown and beige jumper dates from the 1960s, according to its provenance. Made from lightweight wool, the sweater has no label, indicating this may pre-date the labelling of Biba garments.
This is very much a style of its era, and may even have been worn as a minuscule mini dress measuring just 22 inches long when fully stretched. The sleeve cuffs have been shortened and open sides sewn up (see photo).
The item is in excellent vintage condition and would fit a UK size 6-8.
